Tether Design Gallery 323 Occidental Ave S., Seattle, WA 98104, tetherdesigngallery.com

Celebrate Tether’s latest exhibit August 5th, 5-8pm, with live music by Barbara Ireland + Stone Gossard and Visqueen, plus an appearance by The Piston Packin’ Mamas, Seattle’s all-girl car and motorcycle club. From DIY Xerox flyers for bands you’ve never heard of to rock albums that sold in the millions, women designers have shaped the visual identity of music in the Northwest since at least the late 1960s. Thunderbitch is the first attempt to document these women and their work. Taking its name from a pseudonym for an early rock poster maker in Portland, this exhibit spans psychedelic rock, DIY punk and new wave, grunge, riot grrl and today’s silkscreen poster movement. Part of Pioneer Square’s First Thursday Artwalk, Tether Design Gallery, 323 Occidental Ave South, Seattle 98104, tetherinc.com
